Award Ceremony: Ole Wæver will receive the Hesbjerg Fund's peace award

Professor Ole Wæver, Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen, will receive the peace award of the Hesbjerg Fund.

Director at CRIC, professor Ole Wæver, will receive the peace award of the Hesbjerg Fund. The award is given every second year with the purpose to elucidate and recognize excellent work within peace- and conflict research and equivalent creditable work to create peaceful coexistence between religion and peoples. 

The award comittee consists of: Niels Grønkjær, Thomas Brudholm, Bjørn Møller, Tonny Brems Knudsen, and  Carsten Bagge Laustsen.

The award ceremony takes place at Hesbjerg Slot, Hesbjergvej 50, 5491 Blommenslyst, Friday May 22nd, 2015, at 18.00. The castle is located on Fyn, approximately 20 minutes’ drive from Odense.

In connection with the award ceremony, Ole Wæver will give the lecture "Krigen ud af politikken!". Following the lecture, the Fund and the award committee will be hosting a reception. Besides the award ceremony, an art opening exhibiting the works by artist Tine Hind, will also take place at Hesbjerg Slot.
