CRIC welcomes Associate Professor Pinar Bilgin as Visiting Scholar

Together with the Centre for Contemporary Middle East Studies, University of Southern Denmark, CRIC warmly welcomes Associate Professor Pinar Bilgin from Bilkent University, Turkey, as visiting scholar.

Pınar Bilgin will serve from August 2015 to July 2016 as guest professor at the Centre for Contemporary Middle East Studies, University of Southern Denmark. In addition she will be an associate researcher at the Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts (CRIC) at the University of Copenhagen.  She specializes in critical approaches to Security Studies. Her current research projects cover the study of international relations and security in different parts of the world, with a specific focus on postcolonial approaches to the international and security. Her PhD work focused on the Middle East. Since then her case studies spanned security in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and Turkey’s international relations.
