Article on “Video Activists from Aleppo and Raqqa as 'Modern-Day Kinoks'?"

Senior researcher Joshka Wessels has published the article “Video Activists from Aleppo and Raqqa as 'Modern-Day Kinoks'?" in the Middle East Journal of Culture and Communication (MEJCC) vol. 10.

The article analyses the role of Syrian video activism in the Syrian revolution and pays particular attention to why young Syrian anti-regime protesters started recording and uploading their videos on YouTube as testimonies of revolutionary events and violence.
