How have diplomats adapted their practices during the pandemic?

COVID-19 has caused all manner of professions to adapt to remote practices. Diplomacy is no different but does the lack of face-to-face interaction limit the effectiveness of diplomatic engagement? In this webinar, experts reflect on how the pandemic has altered traditional summitry drawing on new research into the virtualization of diplomacy during the Syrian and Yemeni peace processes as well as on the findings of a new study discussing competing configurations of hybrid diplomacy, physical and virtual, to emerge in the aftermath of COVID-19 lockdowns.
